Established in February’ 2008 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, Folklore Foundation is a group of dedicated scholars who came forward for the promotion of community’s knowledge, popularly known as folklore in academic domain.
The oral tradition, art & craft, dance and music, drama & rituals have shaped the rich culture of Odisha. The coastal plains in one hand and the tribal hinterland on the other have created a cultural mosaic, most colourful, diverse and multifaceted. Nature, man and spirituality are embedded in the expressive tradition of the people of Odisha both in orality and performative art form.
